Special Investor Awareness Programme on Financial Independence through Investments

The Department of Applied Science and Humanities, in collaboration with SEBI and AMFI, organized a special Investor Awareness Programme on “Financial Independence through Investments” on 13 May 2025 for faculty members and students. This initiative, supported by AMFI under its Investor Awareness Fund, aligned with the national objective of creating a financially literate and empowered academic community.

The session was conducted by a team of experts led by Mr. Surya Kant Sharma, a highly respected expert in the field of financial literacy and investor education, with over 35 years of experience in SEBI and the financial sector.

One-Day Trip To Wildvadi Theme Park

We are pleased to share that the Department of Applied sciences and humanities organized a one-day trip to Wildvadi theme park on 18 December 2025.This day-long retreat for our B.Tech first-year students was a spectacular fusion of joy and camaraderie, witnessing an outpouring of energy and spirited participation.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Management — Dr. Preeti Gahlot (MD Ma’am), Mr. Surender Gahlot (General Secretary), Dr. R C Kuhad (Director), Mr. T. R. Narula (Registrar), and our respected, HOD Dr. Simpi Mehta , for their constant encouragement, guidance, and invaluable support in ensuring the smooth execution and success of this trip.

Health Counselling Session – Prioritize Your Health For Better Future

The event duration was from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm on 11th February, 2025 with health counsellor DR. Neha Rastogi (MBBS, MD, DM, Infectious diseases) from FMRI, Gurugram.   The event was structured to ensure an engaging and informative experience for all        participants.

This healthcare session from Fortis Hospital provided a meaningful blend of knowledge, awareness, motivation and behavioural aspects to our students. This experience not only enhanced their knowledge but also inspired them to consider a better life style and maintain healthy social connections. 

This event was successfully conducted under the supervision of Dr. Simpi Mehta (HOD) and Dr. Ritu Bhatia (Assistant Professor)

World Ozone Day – 2023

The World Ozone Day was celebrated by the Youth and Biosphere Club of DPGITM, Gurugram. On this occasion Poster making and Debate Competitions were organized. The purpose of the event was to make people aware of environmental problems and Ozone Layer depletion . The theme of the event was “Fixing Ozone layer and reducing climate change”. Approximately 40 students participated in the poster making and debate. The Director Prof. RC Kuhad motivated students to conserve and preserve the environment which is degrading at a very fast pace. They also asked students to plant more and more trees in their vicinity.
